Participatory Cosmology

Participatory cosmology is the working name for the framework synthesized in this document. Its doctrine has a name and its operating principle has a name.

The doctrine: manifestation is subtractive carving from a fuller field of possibility. Reality is the residue after the impossible has been removed. The carving happens at every nested scale simultaneously — divine, soul, body, world — with the divine indwelling at each scale and working in proportion to the openness of each level. Souls being carved are also the instruments by which other souls are carved. The whole arrangement is a single entangled net.

The operating principle: Agape. Love is not a sentiment within this framework; it is the operating instruction — the chisel-stroke that releases form rather than imposing it.

The word participatory is the load-bearing term. The framework rejects both the picture of a divine plus-sign acting on inert matter and the picture of a closed system grinding through its own causes. Reality is a single co-operation, at every scale, all at once.
